I just came across this lovely collection of posters within a poster and couldn’t wait to share it. The poster features designs by the legendary designer Wim Crouwel and was released to coincide with the Wim Crouwel exhibition entitled ‘Wim Crouwel – A Graphic Odyssey’ that was showcased at The Design Museum in London during 2011.
The poster also includes text by Adrian Shaughnessy, in case you were wondering!
If you love this poster as much as I do, you can purchase a copy over at Print Process.
If you’re into vintage style with a unique history, then have I got something cool to share with you. Introducing To Have and To Hold, a Tumblr that really packs a punch in the vintage design category. The page features a collection of awesome paper bags from the 70′s and 80′s that practically jump out of the screen at you with their great use of colour and cold, simplistic designs. I can’t get enough of this site and hope you spend as much time as I have browsing through this beautiful collection that offers tons of inspiration.
Choosing a good font when designing anything for your company is extremely important. In fact, it is AS important as anything else you will be showing to the public and is integral to your brand image. It’s a shame then, that often it is overlooked and not given the weight it deserves.
Really excited to be working with Denis Mallet at DMWorkroom. His knowledge for typography, the latest printing methods, quality, functional graphic design is unbeatable! I’m also hoping his knowledge on coffees from around the world will also rub off on me.
Anyone not familiar with this great charity needs to visit their website! (www.fiftyquid.com). The celebrity photographer Lou Denim uses her experience and celebrity contacts to create a photography collection that raises awareness of the difficulties experienced by the world’s most deprived people. I’ve been fortunate enough to be commissioned to create the branding for this great charity!
The Research Liberation Front is a dynamic organisation of research revolutionaries dedicated to setting research free by pushing boudaries and finding creative solutions to problems. I have worked on a variety of projects with them in the past and was again flattered to be asked to design the branding for a new awards ceremony called The Badge of Courage Awards honouring Ginny Valentine.
There may have been a huge shift towards digital in the last ten years but there’s still a phenomenal amount of graphic talented designers with a real understanding and appreciation for quality design (hopefully that will never diminish). This is a small selection of some of the print samples i have been asked to review recently.
Hugely exciting to be involved in the digital marketing of the iconic Russian brand Stoli Vodka (its Cyprus connections are a bonus). Wonderful stuff!
Great news! I’ve been asked by Pearson Education to redesign the Primary and Secondary educational brochures for their Caribbean market. This is the kind of project i relish, huge amounts of information to categorise, structure and communicate effectively. Looking forward to working with Rachel Wakeley and her team.
